This series is made from printing off of two different linoleum blocks that I carved by hand. Using a sharp carving tool I cut into each linoleum block the piano keys. On the second block I carved out just the shadows of the scene. I then inked each block to a desired color and rolled one linoleum block through the press. After I pressed it once I took the second linoleum block and rolled the same piece through again. This created the two different layers of colors in which I experimented with creating the “Octave Series”
