Imagine Time

Inspiration For “Imagine Time”

I believe when you get into the zone of creativity you lose track of time. Time is irrelevant and then you realize you have been doing art all night into the morning. The beautiful thing is that you are not tired because you were doing what you love and your soul is fed.

How “Imagine Time” Was Created

“Imagine time” is made from a hand etched zinc plate. First, I scratch the drawing into the zinc plate with a tool and then I place the zinc plate into acid over increments of time. I block out sections of the zinc plate with a chemical leaving the area I want to become darker open to be exposed to the acid. Depending on how long I place the Zinc plate in the acid (10 sec- 2min) results in a darker shadow.  After the acid bath is complete, I ink the plate carefully and roll it through the printing press. I printed this plate multiple times creating different editions.
